Hardware
The brass studs on the authentic LV Speedy are convex (curving outwards). The authentic Speedy has a continuous round shape with no flat sides.
Stamping
The Louis Vuitton heat stamp should be clear, with crisp letters and no signs of sloppy, bleeding or mis-stamped letters. On the authentic Louis Vuitton, the T’s should be nearly touching & always has round and large “O”.
Padlock
The authentic LV speedy padlock should have on the one side letters 'LV', while on the other side, the inscription 'Louis Vuitton Paris'. The intersecting letters LV must be perfectly stamped. Bottom of the V letter could not touch the L letter.
Handle
Authentic LV Speedy's bag tan vachetta will develop a patina from the oils in your hands. It’s also important to pay attention to the casework or glazing on the edges. It should be clean and have a subtle red tone and it will fade naturally to burgundy colour by years.
Hardware: Button
The imprints on the authentic button is smooth and the letters on the authentic button is much larger and closer to the edge compare to the counterfeit one. The letters “U” and “S” are more boxy on the authentic button.
Stitching
Authentic LV speedy bag should always has strengthened with beeswax linen thread in mustard yellow colour where it is consistent and equal distance. You won't see loose threads and irregular length stitches.
